Transportation

[BimBo] _Transportation in Website

The idea of the main page is actually same with Activities, we decided to do the same ideas so that it will not be so complicated.

First, we used "Microsoft Word" to write out the word "Transportation", next press "Window button(Start button)+S" to print screen. Cut out the word, a box will appear (as shown below).
Double click it, "Microsoft One Note" will then appear with the picture that you cropped. (as shown below)
Click on the picture, right click, save as a picture, so that you can insert the image later into Dreamweaver.

Buttons, hmmm...we got these five icons through net. We planned to put these five icons in every page of the activities.

Now put all the things into Dreamweaver.

Insert the "Transportation" image into the "Transportation.html" and also the five icons.
Link all the five icons to Car/Air/Train/Ferries/Coach.html (as shown below).

Then, from the folder, copy and paste the Transportation.html, so that the content/everything wouldn't change.

To create a table in Dreamweaver, click "Insert" ---> "Table" (as shown below).
Set the rows and the columns you want.
Write all the info into the table.
Put back the five icons and link all of them in last page of every type of transports.
A "Next Page" icon will be put in the page, if the info is more than one page.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Hi hi, the picture below will be the full view of Transportation page through search engine. I decided to put the types of the transportation together so that visitors can easily see how many transports they can get from their place to Redang Island.

View in Dreamweaver

There will not have a button for " Coach ". This is because once you click in to the Transportation, you will straight away view the information about the " Coach ". We will update time by time and giving out more information.

From KL, head East (Timor) on Karak highway 2 and ECE. Exit Kuantan to highway 3 and proceed to KT using the coastal road via Kemaman, Paka and Dungun. Alternatively, after Kuantan exit, head for KT using highway 14 via Bukit Besi and Ajil.

Flying from KL to KT

Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and Air Asia operate daily flights between KL and KT. Flight time is approximately 45 minutes (60 minutes for Firefly). Malaysia Airlines departs from KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport), Air Asia currently uses KLIA's LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) while Firefly uses KL's Subang Airport. Visitors flying into KLIA who are catching a connecting flight from KLIA LCCT (or vice versa) should give themselves sufficient time for transfers between the two terminals (10 minute ride in cabs and 20 minute ride on feeder buses which depart once every 20 minutes).
KT airport is located about 20-30 min away from the town centre and about 30 min away from Merang jetty. You can arrange with the resort or travel agent to provide transfers between the airport and the jetty for an extra fee. Alternatively, buy a cab coupon at the Taxi Counter located in the Arrival hall (RM50 to Merang, RM25 to Shahbandar jetty). To avoid missing your flights, you should allow about 3 hours transfer time between Redang and KT airport (inclusive of check-in time).

Flying from Singapore to KT

Firefly, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, flies directly between Changi airport and KT 3 times a week. Started in mid-2009, they currently operate services on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using their 72-seater French-built ATR-72 twin turboprop aircraft.
If Firefly's schedule does not suit you, your only other alternative will be to fly to KT via KL. With the liberalization of the lucrative KL-Singapore route in 2008, budget carriers like AirAsia, Tiger Airways and Jetstar Asia have made it very affordable to fly between KL and Singapore from as low as S$29 one way (all-inclusive), forcing Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines to offer attractive rates on their flights plying this route. Firefly will also join the fray when it begins Singapore-KL services in mid-2009. With many choices of flight schedules between KL and Singapore, the bottleneck is the few flights in and out of KT from KL, so plan your flights and connections carefully.
